Arsenal vs Liverpool betting preview
The possibility of a top-four finish is now beyond ArsenalArsenal lost Sunday's North London derby against Tottenham despite going 1-0 up. With just three games to go the Gunners sit in ninth place, with 50 points and are 5 points below 6th placed Wolves. They have now dropped 21 points from leading positions in the Premier League this season - 15 of them under Mikel Arteta. The Gunners now return to the Emirates, where they are unbeaten in seven in the Premier League.
Eddie Nketiah is still suspended, meanwhile, so Alexandre Lacazette will be confident of another start up front after his goal in the north London derby. Bukayo Saka surprisingly only made the bench at Tottenham but will hope to return to the starting XI here, most likely at the expense of Nicolas Pepe. Mesut Ozil faces a late fitness test while Gabriel Martinelli, Bernd Leno, Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers are all expected to miss the remainder of the season for Arsenal.
Liverpool can still overhaul Manchester City’s record of 100-pointsJurgen Klopp’s men displayed shades of the Liverpool of old against Burnley last weekend. The Reds only managed to draw 1-1 and their 24-game winning streak at Anfield came to an end. They have recorded just one victory in their last six on the road – a 3-1 win over Brighton. The reverse fixture in the Premier League saw Liverpool run out 3-1 winners in August, with Salah grabbing a brace. Anyway, Liverpool have a poor record at this stadium with just the single victory in eight trips since 2012/13 (W1-D4-L3).
Jordan Henderson will miss out with a knee injury while Joel Matip is sidelined due to a toe problem. Plus, James Milner isn't expected to be available until next week's clash with Chelsea. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita will be expectant of recalls after only emerging as substitutes last time out. Roberto Firmino and Sadio Manè are expected to retain their starting berth upfront. The likes of Takumi Minamino, Xherdan Shaqiri or Divock Origi could come in for Mo Salah if the indefatigable Egyptian is deemed in need of a rest.
