Arsenal v Everton betting preview
Arsenal come here on the back of three wins in a row in the Premier LeagueArsenal had a very tough start of the season, losing back to back games to Man City and Chelsea in the first two matchweeks. Since then, the Gunners have won four matches in a row in all competitions and they are now up to 7th in the league going into this weekend. Edgy away wins against Newcastle (1:2) and Cardiff (2:3) were preceded by a victory over West Ham (3-1). Plus, they clinched a win in their UEFA Europa League fixture against Ukraine’s Premier League, Vorskla (4:2).
Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lucas Torreira picked up knocks in the Europa League match and could be rested with Mesut Ozil and Matteo Guendouzi expected to feature from the off. Alexandre Lacazette and Aaron Ramsey in contention for a recall - the former is likely to lead the line, the latter should play as number ten. The four man backline will be probably formed by Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal as full backs, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis as centre backs. Sead Kolasinac, Laurent Koscielny, Ainsley Maitlaind-Niles and Konstantinos Mavropanos are the long-term absentees for the hosts.
Everton have failed to win since the opening day of the seasonEverton suffered their first defeat of the season as West Ham ran out 3-1 winners at Goodison Park last time out. The Toffees have drawn both of their away matches so far this campaign - 2:2 at Wolves and Bournemouth. They are in 10th position going into the weekend and have failed to keep a clean sheet so far this season, including in the Carabao Cup as the beat lower-league Rotherham 3-1 at home. Everton have been beaten on 17 of their last 21 visits to the Emirates and have lost five successive away meetings with Arsenal.
Hot record signing Richarlison is set to return after serving his three match ban and would seem set to displace Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the left wing. Oumar Niasse is an alternative to Cenk Tosun for the lone striker berth while Bernard looks to be a threat to Theo Walcott on the right flank. In defense, Lucas Digne may keep his spot at left-back at Leighton Baines' expense while Yerry Mina and Michael Keane offer competition to Kurt Zouma and Mason Holgate. The likes of Seamus Coleman, Andre Gomes and Phil Jagielka remain sidelined through injury.
