The two Spanish powers get together once again on Saturday night at Valencia’s venerable La Mestalla. A tough game to call given the good form of both teams lately. VALENCIA vs REAL MADRID : MATCH PREVIEW- Madrid is currently on a 10-game winning streak in all competitions, and their last La Liga game was a 7-1 win over Osasuna. Los Blancos will try to take advantage of their Champions League situation as Mourinho can focus exclusively on this match with his side already through to the knockout stages of the European competition.

- Valencia are currently in third place in the league table, just a single point behind Barcelona. They are undefeated at home and managed 4 wins and two draws so far. Their last league game was a 2-0 win over Levante on November 5.

- Manager Unai Emery continues to mix and match effectively, relying upon a rock-solid defense that has conceded only nine goals in eleven Liga matches. Goalkeeper Vicente Guaita continues to perform at a high level. Meanwhile, Emery’s attack looks to isolate crafty striker Roberto Soldado, on a team-high six goals already.

- Valencia will probably play this game with their minds focused on their next Champions League match as Emery’s side will need a win to keep their hopes of going to the next stage alive. Despite facing Real Madrid, Emery may decide to rest some key players with their Champions League clash next week in mind.

- Los Blancos have more than doubled Valencia’s goal-scoring output through eleven Liga matches (39 to 19) and romped in both of the clashes last season by an aggregate 8-3 scoreline. With Ronaldo on 13 goals and Argentine strike partner Gonzalo Higuain on 11 goals, Real Madrid arguably owns the best 1-2 scoring punch on the planet. Add in Frenchman Karim Benzema’s 6 Liga goals and the embarrassment of riches at Mourinho’s disposal becomes apparent.

- Real Madrid duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Arbeloa missed training on Wednesday because of injuries they picked up on recent international duty. They are boyh doubtful. Nuri Sahin made his debut for Real Madrid last time out against Osasuna and may get some more playing time with several international players suffering from fatigue.

- As for the hosts,Argentinian Ever Banega, the axis in midfield, is likely out until Christmas with a knee injury. Defender Bruno suffered an injury in that game and is doubtful for this one. Ricardo Costa suffered a minor muscle tear in his left leg during training and will be out for between 10 and 15 days.
