MARSEILLE v PSG BETTING PREVIEW
Marseille picked up their third win in five games as they beat Rennes 2-0 at home to remain in 6th, four points behind Lyon in 4th in Ligue 1 standings. They have won six of their last seven at the Stade Velodrome and they have lost only once there, but that defeat was a 4-1 thumping at the hands of Monaco. Rudi Garcia set up very defensively in the sides meeting in Paris earlier this season and managed to secure a point. It was the former Roma boss' first game in charge. Anyway, PSG have won each of their last four visits here in both league and cup.Marseille are likely to be without top scorer Bafetimbi Gomis, who misses out through injury. Clinton N'Jie started in last week's win over Rennes and the Cameroonian should keep his place at centre forward. Dimitri Payet could also be a doubt here. Rod Fanni and Hiroki Sakai are both back from suspension and should come back into the starting XI while Abou Diaby remains on the injured list. Bouna Sarr also is unavailable after suffering a dislocated shoulder.
PSG are in good position to make it five Ligue 1 titles in a row, with 12 games left they are just three points behind league leaders Monaco. They have had their winning streak ended, being held to a goalless draw by Toulouse on Sunday. Unay Emery's men have the best away record in the league and have conceded just 13 goals on the road all season. Furthermore, Les Parisiens have won 11 of their last 12 matches against Marseille in all competitions.
Brazilian defender Thiago Silva is a major doubt while Angel Di Maria will face a late fitness test ahead of this, with Lucas Moura favourite to eventually replace the Argentine winger. Thiago Motta could drop back to the bench as Marco Verratti and Adrien Rabiot are in superb form. The likes of Thomas Meunier, Blaise Matuidi and Layvin Kurzawa will be recalled. Up front, Edinson Cavani will be the central striker.
