Tottenham face another must-win game in the Premier League on Monday as they travel to Anfield to take on top four hopefuls Liverpool. While the sixth-placed Liverpool are pushing for a spot in the top four, it is Spurs who are challenging for the title. LIVERPOOL vs TOTTENHAM: MATCH PREVIEWAfter suffering an awful defeat at Bolton, Liverpool have responded well and have since knocked Manchester United out of the FA Cup, qualified for the Carling Cup final and beat Wolves 3-0 at Molineux. Tottenham drew 1-1 with Wolves and then suffered heartbreak against Manchester City losing 3-2, however they responded in mid-week to beat Wigan 3-0.

Harry Redknapp’s men sit in third position, five points behind co-leaders Manchester City and Manchester United. Liverpool's situation is a bit more desperate, sitting in sixth place, 16 points off the lead, but only four points out of fourth place.

Liverpool, rejuvenated following domestic cup successes over both Manchester clubs in the last week, will have their eyes on a Champions League spot, now just four points behind Chelsea. The Reds remain undefeated at Anfield this season, but have won only four and drawn seven in the league.

New signing Louis Saha could make his Tottenham debut at Liverpool. Jermain Defoe is unlikely to play, Rafael van der Vaart is struggling with a calf problem and Emmanuel Adebayor hobbled off during Tuesday's win over Wigan with a hamstring complaint. Aaron Lennon is extremely doubtful, William Gallas and Tom Huddlestone are unavailable, but Kyle Walker (groin) and Ledley King should be fit.

As for Liverpool, striker Luis Suárez returns from an eight-match suspension and will go straight back into the squad to face Tottenham at Anfield on Monday. Captain Steven Gerrard is also back having been rested for the midweek win at Wolves.

There is arguably no better in form player currently in all of England than Spurs’ Gareth Bale. The Welsh international is coming off a fantastic run of games which saw him named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for January, on the strength of dominant performances against Everton, Manchester City and Wigan, scoring in the latter two contests.

Earlier in the season Tottenham bashed Liverpool 4-0 at White Hart Lane as the visitors had Charlie Adam and Martin Skrtel sent off. Spurs have only ever won twice at Anfield in the Premier League but one of them did come last season as they triumphed 2-0
