BARCELONA vs VALENCIA: MATCH PREVIEWBarcelona have slipped 10 points adrift of Real Madrid after dropping points in two of their past three league outings. The visitors are sitting third and claimed their first league win of the year on Sunday, a 4-0 thrashing of strugglers Sporting Gijon. They are eight points behind FC Barcelona and eight points over Levante, which means that a UEFA Champions League berth for next season is practically assured.

Valencia themselves will go into this game in high spirits following their 1-0 away victory at the Brittania Stadium on Thursday night. The highlight of that game undoubtedly being a wonderstrike from the Los Che midfielder Mehmet Topal, whose goal confirmed Stoke's first ever Europa League loss.

Soldado has scored 12 goals in 21 La Liga matches, which is eight more than any of his teammates. What makes his performance even more impressive is the weekly pressure he faces to produce. Despite that constant attention from opposing defenses, he continues to score key goals.

These two teams have already met three times during the current campaign, with Barça winning once, 2-0 for the Copa del Rey on February 8 and the other two games finishing in draws (one in La Liga and one for the Copa del Rey).
