JUVENTUS v BARCELONA BETTING PREVIEWThis match will be Juventus' first since their 1-4 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid as they had to cancel two friendlies against two Mexican sides. The Bianconeri have been very active on the transfer market. Back-up keeper Neto has left and will be replaced by Wojiech Sczczesny, while Bayern Munich's Mehdi Benatia will come in at centre back to replace Leonardo Bonucci who has left for AC Milan. Up front, they have brought in Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich and are very close to sign Federico Bernardeschi from Fiorentina.
Juventus have lost their right-back after Dani Alves opted to leave despite having a year left on his contract but they have signed Mattia De Sciglio. The former AC Milan right back will join Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini and Alex Sandro in the four man backline. Miralem Pjanic and Sami Khedira are likely to renew their partnership in the middle of the park, while the likes of Juan Cuadrado, Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic should play as offensive midfielders behind the lone striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Barcelona begin a new era under the former Atheltic Bilbao manager Ernesto Valverde in this game. Valverde has brought back Gerard Deulofeu after Barca exercised a buyback clause for the winger, while Nelson Semedo has been signed from Benfica to solve the problem right-back position. Barcelona and Juventus met in the Champions League Final back in 2015 and it was the Catalan giants who claimed the bragging rights and the trophy on that night with a 3-1 scoreline. Anyway, the Bianconeri got their revenge during the 2016/17 season though, ousting Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League - 3.0 at the Juventus Stadium and 0:0 at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona have brought a near-enough full-strength squad to the USA, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Andre Gomes the only absentees after playing at the Confederations Cup. Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar habe all joined in with training earlier this week, with reports suggesting all three could feature in some form against Juventus. Anyway, rumours surrounding forward Neymar continue to circulate with French giants PSG reportedly activating the Brazilian superstar's release clause.
