GERMANY vs NETHERLANDS : MATCH PREVIEW- Both teams played in friendlies on Friday night. The Netherlands recorded a goalless draw against Switzerland, whilst Germany fought back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Ukraine and both teams have qualified for the Euro 2012 tournament that will take place next summer in Poland and Ukraine. Germany comes into Euro 2012 as one of the top favorites in the competition. Now that their young stars have proven themselves on the world's biggest stage, they will have the confidence needed to get back to the final.

- The Netherlands also have young stars ready to improve on the international stage. Eljero Elia, Wesley Sneijder and GregoryVan Der Wiel are three of many young stars looking to take the Netherlands to European glory.

- Netherlands recorded a scoreless draw against Switzerland in Friday's international friendly at the Amsterdam Arena. Oranje's main dangerman in the first half was Ryan Babel. Van Marvijk has agreed to leave Robin van Persie out of their friendly with Germany after holding talks with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The Dutch will be also without former SV Hamburg player Rafael van der Vaart for injury reasons.

- Both Miroslav Klose and Marco Reus have returned after missing the draw against Ukraine on Friday, while Manuel Neuer is also set to feature in the starting XI after being rested. Klose could be paired up front with Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez in what would be an experiment by coach Joachim Loew. One man who will not play any part in the game against Bert van Marwijk's men is Borussia Dortmund left-back Marcel Schmelzer, who has pulled out with a calf injury.

- Against Ukraine, Germany used a 5-2-2-1/3-4-2-1 formation with three centre-backs in the first half, and found themselves 3-1 down at the interval. However, a reversion to the more familiar 4-2-3-1 and the addition of experienced mainstays of the team saw Germany come back to earn a draw. The man of the match, and a constant performer even in the disappointing first half, was Toni Kroos.

- With Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie and Rafael van der Vaart out, Sneijder will shoulder the burden of creativity for the most part. Huntelaar may know how to find the net, but Wesley will be looked at more often than not to clear the striker a path.

- Germany are aiming for their first win against the Netherlands since 1996. The efficiency we're used to seeing from the Germans may be missing again, allowing history to favour the Dutch yet again for a positive result.
