Manchester City face a trip to Everton at Goodison Park on Tuesday evening, needing to turn around their fortunes at the ground. City have stuttered through January but they still go to Merseyside with a 3pt lead over neighbours Manchester United. EVERTON vs MANCHESTER CITY: MATCH PREVIEWEverton find themselves struggling down in 14th position in the league having picked up 26 points from their 22 matches. Manchester City are leading the way in the Barclays Premier League, with their 22 games giving them a return of 54 points.

Everton haven’t won in the Premier League in since the 1st January but they have drawn their last two. City have picked up wins but nothing like as convincing as they were earlier in the season. They have won six out of 11 on the road but four of those were sides in the bottom five. Although Everton are not the side of a couple of years ago and have not been great at home this season, Goodison Park under the lights is special atmosphere and the crowd will help them.

Everton has six injured players that start often (Jagielka, Rodwell, Osman, Distin, Barkley and Coleman). Manchester City on other hand have Balotelli serving a four game ban for the "was-it-wasn’t-it?" stamp on Scott Parker while Toure brothers are playing African Cup.

These two sides last met in late September, with Man City scoring a 2-0 victory behind goals from Mario Balotelli and James Milner. City have struggled to score on their travels of late and just two out of Everton’s last 13 matches have featured over 2.5 goals. But Manchester City’s three goals against Tottenham took their league total to 60 goals, the same amount they managed in the whole of last season after just 22 games
