England host Spain in an international football friendly at Wembley Stadium with Fabio Capello having named an experimental squad. Both teams have won first place in groups for Euro 2012 undefeated, so this match will be strong test for both. Read on our match preview, probable lineups, best odds and free betting tips.

ENGLAND vs SPAIN : MATCH PREVIEW- England’s Euro qualifying bid ended positively in terms of points but their performances haven’t been very convincing in terms of quality especially towards the end of the campaign. Vicente del Bosque’s squad, instead, hasn’t been as prolific in friendly games as they are in competitive matches.

- England have lost just one of twelve matches since the 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa. That defeat came in another home friendly when they went down 2-1 to France and their home form is not as good as their results on foreign soil. Montenegro (0-0) and Switzerland (2-2) both left Wembley with a point in Euro qualifiers whilst Ghana scored a late equalizer for a 1-1 draw in a friendly international.

- Spain's record in post World Cup friendly internationals shows they have lost to Argentina, Portugal and Italy. The 4-0 hiding in Portugal a year ago is the only match in which Spain have failed to hit the target since they went down to a shock 1-0 defeat to Switzerland in their opening game of the 2010 World Cup Finals. However, hey have now won ten of their last 11 matches since the aforementioned defeat in Lisbon.

- The main news surrounding the announcement of the England squad centered around the omission of Wayne Rooney in view of his suspension for the the Euro 2012 finals group matches which England are in the process of appealing. Furthermore, there is no Micah Richards, Rio Ferdinand, Andy Carroll and Steven Gerrard in the squad. As for the visitors, the only possible absentee for Spain in their next two friendlies will be Alvaro Negredo and it remains to be seen whether he will make the bench in these games.
