All Barcelona key players are still on holiday

For Barcelona, this will be their first game of what has been a busy summer in the transfer market. Andres Iniesta finally left his beloved Barcelona and this could mark the start of the end of an era. Valverde has picked as many as 13 players from the Barcelona B team for the trip to the States and this is the reason why they aren't red hot favourites. The Blaugrana have two further ICC fixtures to come - against Italian outfits Roma and AC Milan - before they take on Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday, August 12.

A second string side likely to be fielded at the Rose Bowl. Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba are both missing in defence, while Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic leave a big hole in the middle of the park. Up front, Philippe Coutinho, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembelè are also missing. As a result, new signings Arthur, Clement Lenglet and Malcom will all be aiming to make their respective debuts. The likes of Alex Vidal, Nelson Semedo, Denis Suarez, Sergi Roberto, and Paco Alcacer are likely to be included in the starting XI. Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has travelled with the squad, but will meet up with his team-mates in Dallas in a few days.

Tottenham hammered AS Roma last time out

Tottenham on the other hand are struggling once again in the transfer market this summer. Anyway, Spurs managed to get off to a winning start in the International Champions Cup on Thursday by beating Roma 4-1, altough they went one goal down. Both Lucas Moura and Fernando Llorente scored a brace. The North Londoners seem to have an edge in terms of experience within the squad, in comparison to Barcelona and have good chances to claim the bragigng rights. With AC Milan to follow after the meeting with the Blaugrana this weekend, the Lilywhites should fancy their chances of winning the competition.

Spurs face an anxious wait over Victor Wanyama, who is having tests on a knee complaint while Vincent Janssen did not make the trip having been put up for sale. Mauricio Pochettino is missing a host of first-choice players, including goalkeeper Lloris and entire first choice back line. Other notable absences are Mousa Dembele, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, and Harry Kane. Anyway, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-Min both played a part against Roma, and they should feature from the off.
